20,000 Leagues Below - A Sculpted Story Necklace
A naturally curious creature, this octopus is exploring the sides of a marine vessel while holding her found-treasure from the depths below: a human skull. The entire sculpted piece is 3-dimensional from the barnacles on the side of the underwater vessel, to the golden eyes of the octopus….and every single little sucker on her winding tentacles.
I normally do custom neckpieces for clients, but I will now start releasing OOAK statement pieces to the public from time-to-time. Enjoy! :D

My Nautical Chest Piece sculpt is still not chained, but I am liking how it turned out! This was a terrible phone shot, but the main green coloring is a shimmery peridot. :3
And I had to represent at Norwescon last night, so I sported the Ram Skull chest piece (Classy hotel bathroom shot ftw)
Finished the sculpt for my new necklace! I made some improvements and adjustments from my original sketch design. Now it’s paint time.
The globular outer corners reminded me of Bioshock. They reminded a FB user of a pope hat. “Cephalopope!!!!”.

Nauticool! Sketch for the next sculpt necklace I am currently working on. You have no idea how long it took me to decide what that Octopus should have been holding as he climbed up that vessel.
As the decrepit label read:

Origin: Balkan Mountains
Description: Specimen collected during a full moon phase. Note: removed hide stays lupine — L. S. 1687”

Steamcon IV was amazing. Some of you may already know, but I had a Stormblood Curiosities booth at Steamcon, this weekend! I was lucky enough to be a featured Artist in Artist’s Alley.
I did not get any time to go out and take pictures of all the FABULOUS attendees and fellow artists, but I do have a few pics in my Album on the official FB page. Check them out, if you have a moment, and I would love to hear from anyone out there who attended!!!
Indubitably Yours,
Lady Stormblood
